Rachel Whorton is originally from Edmond, OK. She attended Lipscomb University where she earned her degrees in Journalism and Theatre in 2006. She was very active as a Music minor, specializing in piano but also participating as a vocalist in the A Cappella Singers, Jazz Vocal Ensemble and Early Music Consort. Rachel also enjoyed being in several theatrical productions and performing as a Singarama hostess for three years.
Rachel is married to Darren Whorton, also a Lipscomb University graduate. Darren works as a computer software developer for ARELLO.
Rachel is active in community theatre at the Towne Centre Theatre in Brentwood. She and her husband also travel and sing with the a cappella group Durant. Rachel loves to travel and experience the music, culture and of course food of other countries. Her favorite trips include mission trips to Australia and Jamaica, a summer internship in London, a chorus trip to China and personal travels to Italy, Thailand and Tahiti.
